94 chevy tbi issues/loading up
Just got my new truck a few months ago, 94 chevy k1500 with 350/5 speed. On cold mornings when i start it, it back fires. Also when im driving and get on the throtle it starts to backfire and sputter. Took the cover off the air filter, was wet and smelled like gas.. I was thinking maybe its loading up, but not sure why?

Take a look at this thread: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=943364
My comments about MAP and ECT sensor apply to you as well. Fuel pressure needs to be checked. Should be 9 - 13 PSI. You do need a special tool to check it though. //2000CAYukon |

Re: 94 chevy tbi issues/loading up
Just recently replaced fuel sending unit/pump and filter.. Also had on computer and no codes came up. So i may need to check into the MAP and ECT sensors i believe

Re: 94 chevy tbi issues/loading up
Well today I went ahead and replaced the MAP and ECT sensors, checked all the vaccum lines. Still does the same things(backfire, loading up). even when at a park and i rev it up it backfires somewhat to? As well as gas being in the air cleaner when i take the cover off
