replaced alot, still won't start
i have a 2000 gtp with 170,000 miles. last week the car died, the power steering went out, and still will not start. Still had all power though. I replaced the fuel pump, the MAF sensor and a few other things, and it still will not start. Any ideas???

Re: replaced alot, still won't start
Welcome to AF.
Did it stall at idle only or any specific speed? What other conditions? Any lights on at the instrument panel like TRAC OFF when car dies? Even with the new fuel pump have you verified the fuel pressure at the front fuel rail is in specs? 48-55 psi.

Re: replaced alot, still won't start
A little more specific info would really help. In addition to Bob's questions, is your service engine soon light on; by not start, do you mean the starter does not turn the engine over, or do you mean the starter turns the engine, it just doesn't start?

If still no change, then verify spark in all cylinders. If there's spark then you'll need to get the PCM scanned and see if there are any codes stored and even better if you can look at the data stream. Beyond these tests, you'll need to verify cylinder compression and perhaps timing on cyl #1 shining a timing light on the balancer (if the timing chain has an issue). Let us know what you find out or if you get if fixed .
