'97 Chevy Van Express - Won't Start

I have a 1997 Chevy Van Express, 3500, w/ 5.7 Liter engine. According to my wife it was moving along fine then it just died on her, she coasted to a stop and it wouldn’t start back up. It turns over good battery and starter work fine. I tried some starting fluid no luck, then I poured some gas in the throttle body no luck there either.
What puzzles me is that it wouldn’t even fart or try to start, I’ve always gotten a sputter or something when I’ve tried starter fluid or gas this time nothing. I don’t smell any gas when I pump the gas peddle either also, the fuel pump is in the gas tank correct?
Any help would be Greatly Appreciated!

Marty

Yes fuel pump is in the gas tank.

If no start always check for good hot blue spark to all spark plugs and for spark out of coil.

If good spark check the fuel pressure for up to par.
Can you hear fuel pump running?
Should have 60/66 lbs and 64-65 lbs cold cranking.

Report back on spark and fuel pressure.

Any check engine lights or codes?
What is mileage and last tune up history?
Have you check all fuses for 12 volts both sides?

old topic i know..but if you poured gas down the throttle body not the slightest fire up means no spark...sounds like an ignition issue.

Pouring gas down the TBI or starter fluid is not the safe way to test it.
