Need diagnostic help or referral link

01 Sonata 4 cylinder, starts, idles runs okay except with a load will not go over 2500 rpm, the code I got from the mechanics diagnostic was for a mass air flow meter, replaced it with a new one and no difference, standard shift car with 155K, passed smog fine in April, any ideas?
