86 Honda Accord lxi Cv axle Problems ????

I have an 86 Honda accord lxi . My CV axle keeps on Twisting and breaking off on the inner passenger side of the car. What could cause this to happen . Ive posted pics to show you all . Bcuz i need help.....

You say breaking off? You mean inside the cage or the axle itself? How many times has this happened and to how many axles?

The shaft is not the proper length and is "pulling" the inner tripot apart far enough for the bearings to come out of their guides...or you are inadvertently extending the joint during installation, and allowing one or more bearing to fall off the spider....you HAVE to keep that inner pushed together during installation...

Here is an inner tripot joint..



Those roller bearings on that three sided spider are just slip fitted, they can fall right off. They run in grooves in the other half of the joint, and are kept in place by being trapped in the grooves...



...but if you pull outward, extending the boot at all, they can drop right off the spider, and will be bouncing around in there, as well as losing 1/3 of the joint's ability to handle torque for each one missing...so it will quickly twist the joint apart...
