Well she's dead.
Well my 96 Windstar popped a head gasket last month.
Frankly with all the other little stuff wrong with it, and some rot on the unibody, I dont think its worth fixing. Hate to see it go. It was running well, and I realy enjoyed driving it. Not to think about wether I just scrap it, or part it out.

Re: Well she's dead.
Are you sure it's a head gasket, the lower intake gasket is more common and will put coolant in cylinders and engine oil.

Oh ya. Hydro locked the cyl and everything. When it went it instantly pressurized the coolent system, and SMOKED!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Well she's dead.
Sorry to hear that
When my lower intake went it also hydrolocked the engine, guess it stoped with an intake valve open. The intake would not pressureize the cooling system so I guess your correct on the head gasket. |
