what does everyone think...?

I am thinking about getting a new car, but I'm torn between two, a red 98 Camaro SS and a black 98 Trans Am. In my opinion the t/a looks better, but it's an automatic

. The SS is a 6 speed, but I don't think I would like the red, especially being a second year college student who would probably have "Hey, come pull me over!" written all over my car. mileage is roughly the same and both have black leather interior. Both seemed to run smoothly and carfax checks clean on both. If anyone would like to put in their two cents I would like to hear it. Hopefully this will help me make up my mind.

As you said, I would go with the T/A due to it's color and age on insurance.

Get the TA and swap the tranny. Companies have put together kits with everything you need to get the job done. Problem solved.

It would be cheaper just to buy the SS and paint the dang thing instead of messing with swaping a m6 into and A4 car. If I was going to get a firebird it would have to be the formula, the front ends on those are sick. The regular ws6/TA fronts ends/bumbers I don't like. I would go with the SS. My M6 is so much more fun than any auto car I have ever driven and my moms husband had 98 A4 z28 and it was not near as fun as mine.

Tranny swap kits cost $2K, painting the whole damn car will cost more than that.

I'd jump at the Trans Am.. but that's just my preference for the body style talking..
