Re: factory remote not working

First step is to check both batteries (Panasonic model CR2016 or equivalent) voltage with a volt meter, they're rated at 1.5 v each. If they check ok make sure they are both polarity oriented correctly and making good contact with the remote.
If all of above checks out it's possible the remote needs reprogramming.

Correction. The remote batteries are 3.0 volts each.

Re: factory remote not working

Factory Remotes can be trickey, Do you have a hood switch on your car? If the hood it up it should NOT let the car start. Also, one lead monitors the brake lights. If the brake is on it won't start. If it's with the remote & you step on the brake the car shoudl quit. Also, if started with the remote pressing on the GAS & revving the engine will also kill the engine.

Re: factory remote not working

I found on 2 of mine that after a while the micro switches come loose from the circuit board. I have had to resolder them a couple of times already. 4 solder connections on each switch.
