Driver's Side Door Still Rattles On Bumps
I recently took my car to the Chevy Dealership and they installed new pins and bushings on my driver side door. They definitely were worn. You could lift the door up and down quite a bit. Granted the door rattles much less since the replacement but it stills gives that same sound when going over bumps every so often and I was wondering if there is anything else that may need attention or replacement.

They did adjust the door post and the door lines up perfectly with the other one. Maybe its the rubber? Last edited by jberenyi; 03-12-2009 at 10:46 AM. |

coat the rubber weather strip with silicone grease [use rubber gloves ] work into the rubber gaskets and then wipe off excess......wash the door metal seal surface then open and close the door a few times and look for the grease to be left on the metal..any void of the residue means this is where the rubber needs help....
