Re: as many car parts as you can take for only $5?
In my area , in the past , they've had events at some junkyards usually on Saturdays where you pay one fee and can go into a section of their yard and remove as many parts as you can carry out in one trip. At that time ( 10 or so years ago,) it was $20 or $25 . I haven't seen such events advertised any more, I have however seen a couple of salvage yards open called "Pick-n-Pull" where you can go in and get the part you need for a specified price, such as $10 for an alternator, $15 for a gas tank, $50 for an engine or transmission, etc. Those have seemed to replace the type of yard you are looking for. One problem with the event like I described was you wouldn't know in advance what vehicles were in the yard to be able to get parts from, and once you paid the admission, you might not find any vehicles you needed parts from, and sometimes there were more than one person interested in the same part(s).
