If you had $12500-$18,000, what car would you buy?

You could buy ANY car you wanted between $12,500 and $18,000. Yes that means the car can be used.

I would wait 30 more years and would buy myself a 1999 Magestic Blue Nissan Skyline R-34 GT-R Vspec-2.

But really if I would have 18 grand I would go with something new and something that is good on gas milage. I would go for a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. Its a really good and reliable car. Ofcourse its smaller than 4th 5th and ofcourse 6th gen maximas but its still good. Or get a 99 model of Nissan 240sx. Those are really nice. Im pretty sure you can find a used late 90s Nissan 300zx.

Early 90's 300ZX twin turbo 5-speed. Or a 4th-gen Max.

Got it!!!

Other choices would be the 03' Spec-V or a 97' SE-R, then turbo it!

insurance would be astronomical. if you swapped the sr20det in the se-r you wouldn't even have to tell the insurance company. they just wouldn't cover the turbo and intercooler if you got in an accident.
my friend has an 86 buick grand national(3.8 L6 turbo, bored to a 4.3) and he has it registered as a buick regal. his insurance is dirt cheap
