1997 GT Security/Theft problem, Car wont start

I have a 1997 Mustang GT Auto with 170K. I have been having a problem with the theft/security system not letting my vehicle start. It cranks and starts but immediately dies. The dealer replaced my chipped keys and programmed them and it work for about a week and now its happening again. Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like your PATS is malfunctioning.

Take it to the dealer,Ford's security system is a pain to work and my father has one that is being one,a 2000 Mustang. It sat in his "Barn" during some auto body work done and tried to drive it out one night sending it to the neighbor for paint work to be done.Would not start at all.Ford does lie about their vehicles unstealable with this system.I know one yard can prove, has two Ford trucks stolen and recovered without the keys.

Its not all Fords. Only some of them have PATS.
