ambient air sensor on a '04 location

my outside air quit reading on the dic .everything on the dic is still being read. i looked around the grill in front of the condensor and found a black plastic thing on a brace. didn't mess with it too much ,as might be airbag sensor.mine has auto temp air/heat and was told it wouldn't work correctly without the ambient temp.anyone else have problem with the ambient air sensor? thanks

Re: ambient air sensor on a '04 location

If the ambient air temp sensor is located in the same location in the 2004 as it was in the 2002, it should be on the right hand side of the engine compartment near the front. The connector will be mostly round with two wires to it, a dark blue/white wire and a dark blue/yellow wire.
