Cool Riding season soon

Although I have ridden all winter, it will be nice to see springtime about to arrive.
It is nice today here in Houston, rode my V Star in this morning & yesterday.
Daylight saving coming soon too, more daylight !

Re: Riding season soon

This has been one cold ass nasty winter in Michigan. The only 2 days I could have ridden (since Thanksgiving weekend) it was so muddy and there was so much salt water meltoff on the roads, I chose not to. I'm chomping at the bit to get a ride in, but the roads here have been a mess. We're getting 6-8 more inches of snow today and tomorrow, whoopie!!!!

Re: Riding season soon

usually i find a few decent days to take the bike out over the course of the winter to help keep me sane, but this year my bike hasn't been out of the garage once. it's friggin' cold

Re: Riding season soon

There's some niiiiiice weather that I missed a few weeks ago here in Nashville. We were in the 60s and 70s 2 weeks ago. Needless to say I was rather sad that I didn't have my bike.

I just gotta make it through 3 more weeks.

Re: Riding season soon

Speed, go get that damn bike and ride it. My Uncle lives down in Virginia on the West Virginia border, and he's been harassing me about being able to ride. I get voice mail messages from him revving his bike followed by a maniacal laugh. He sucks!!!

Re: Riding season soon

But since your bike is elsewhere, by the time I got that VM from you , it may get warm enough here to ride.

SV's do have a sweet sound to them. I ran into a guy at a gas station last year and complimented him on the sound of his bike. He looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language or something. Probably thought I was being facetious. It seems people have a preconception about Harley riders with shaved heads, hmmm..... We had a nice conversation while refueling, and I told him I'd probably own an SV as a second bike (the second bike would be a Semi-naked sport bike for sure) if my wife would let me have one.

Re: Riding season soon

I apparently got old this winter - there have been probably 30 days since Thanksgiving that I didn't ride and the temp has been in the teens only a few times.

One preconception is that harley riders don't let their wives tell them what bikes they can own. Wrong again.

Re: Riding season soon

The weather up here in Portland, OR. was actually nice enough last week that I went on a 52 mile ride without my winter coat on over my leather jacket, I'll be glad when summer is here and its warm all the time.

Nice, .....She cooks my food and knows where I sleep. I can't afford to hire a food taster like in the medieval days, and sleeping with one eye open makes one very tired!!!!
