'97 Z24 Cavalier Losing Coolant/Overheating

Hi!
I have a '97 Z24 Cavalier at 193,000 miles. I am consistently losing coolant and overheating. There are no visible leaks. I checked the oil, and did not see any coolant mixed in with the oil. I haven't seen any liquid coming from the tailpipe. When the car is started, you can smell the coolant through the air vents some, and can smell it under the hood. Nothing appears wet or anything. I checked the floorboards, and they were not wet. There is no steam blowing out of the vents. I have heard bubbling sounds sometimes when I shut off the that sounds like it was coming the passenger side dash. Any ideas on what this could be?

Check the heater core, mine also leaked through some kind of defective sensor somewhere...

Yes, check the heater core. Mine on my 1999 sprung a leak. It ended up dripping down and looked like it came from the overflow. It was the heater core dripping into a pan. Check the heater core. And be warned, Its a %$@! to replace.
