gtp vs lt1 ta

so my friend bought a 96 lt1 ta(auto) completely stock.he called me up and wanted to race,so i said yes of course,so heres how it all played out.

from a dig,he spun(not sure how much) but i didnt and immediately put 4 cars on him,by the end of the 1/4 mile i was about 5 cars ahead of him.i completely blame that lameness on his launch.

then from a 30 roll, honked it down and i pulled a car instantly by 65 i had pulled 2 cars, then we stayed the same distance up to 100.

then again from a 40 roll,i pulled a car right off the bat again,by 70 had about a car and a half.

after that he complimented how my car ran and we chit-chatted was a pretty fun night,i didnt think my stock pulley car would pull on an lt1 like that, well thanks for reading.

Re: gtp vs lt1 ta

Your car must be running really well to beat an LT1 from a dig and a roll especially by that much. Nice races.

How many mile on the LT1?

I raced one with pretty much the same outcome except I held him off till about 115 when he was passing with little trouble. I think I had like 2 cars on him because I started in front of him and he slowly pulled to about 115 where he was passing.

This was with a stock pulley also. Wait till you drop your pulley. Huge differance...

Re: gtp vs lt1 ta

the lt1 has 110 thousand miles on the clock,my car runs pretty good for what it is,i cant complain a 4 door car outrunning a sports car.ive got a 3.4 pulley in my room just havent installed it,waiting on money for headers then im going to 3.3 or 3.25,and lt1s will be way behind me.
