1996 grand Cherokee 4.0

I believe I must have a fuel pump issue but want too make sure, before I try anything else. If I give the truck a little gas starts right up, but as soon as you take your foot off the gas and the RPM's comes down the vehicle stalls out. Can anyone help me out,

possible bad battery, faulty iac motor
