99 Suburban Interior Lights
I have a 1999 Sub. When the doors open and close, (truck is parked), the interior light stays on about 60 seconds and shuts off. Then about 15 to 20 min. later, the interior light comes back on again with the truck parked and locked. To keep the lights from going on during the night, I have to keep the interior light shut-off switch depressed.
Any ideas????? Thanks |

Re: 99 Suburban Interior Lights
Needs to be checked when it is doing it with a good body capable scanner.
Scanner should tell you what is turning it on. Or may even have a code. Good Luck

Re: 99 Suburban Interior Lights
Replace the door pin switches on the driver and front passenger doors. That should take care of the problem. This is a common problem

Re: 99 Suburban Interior Lights
They are the black pin switches on the side of the dash next to the door. They are kind of a pain, its easier to break the old switches.

Re: 99 Suburban Interior Lights
My 1999 sub did the samething. It was the driver side. Go to GM and buy the door SW. $2.50 I think. The old will pop out and plug the new one in. Done
