05 Fuel Filter location

I have an 05 ford explorer, 4.0L with AdvanceTrack - not the SporTrac or whatever. Also, I do not have the Flex Fuel model.

Anyway, was just wondering where the hell the fuel filter is located on it? I bought one, searched under the car for a bit but didn't see the old one. Pretty large, so seems hard to miss, but I'm not having any luck. Anyone know where it's at?

Thanks!

Re: 05 Fuel Filter location

The filter is located under a metal cover to the front of the fuel tank. (May be on passenger side under the seat area). You need to remove a small metal cover to get to the filter. Ford hid it pretty good.

Awesome. I figured they did something like that. Anything to get us to pay someone else.

Thanks so much, man!
