2004 Beetle 4sp Auto Tranny Flushing

Does anyone know how to flush out the tranny, besides the obvious things of draining the fluid and replacing the filter? Is there something more to it to get it clean? I bought the VW fluid and the guy who sold it to me said I had to heat up the fluid before I add it to the tranny, has anyone heard of this before?

yes, use the search function. To check the proper level you need to have it at 38-44deg c
