"86" Jimmy-2.8 L Throttle body...no fire

Problems: no fire from coil (Outside of distributor) and no fire to fuel pump

Questions:

What will not let the truck fire and not get gas from the tank?


Results: I have fire on the hot wire of the coil.

Question: Is there a pickup coil inside the distributor?

my 95 jimmy wasnt getting any fire and it was the control module that is pluged into the back of the distributer cap with wires coming out of it. if the spark plug going to the coil doesnt have any spark that might be the fix. to test take wire off of coil and use a screw or drill bit and stick it in the plug wire and hold on coil then try and start. see if there is a spark from that plug if not, i saw that part for your vehicle for like 30 bucks
