LIM job on 2001 Venture WB
I'm getting close to the lower intake. There is a black metal tube going into the back thermostat housing. How/where is this to be disconnected?

Re: LIM job on 2001 Venture WB
If this is the one that connects to the heater hoses and is under the fuel lines and air intake, it has one screw on the under side of the welded clamp to release it from the back head, then is slides back toward the firewall to come free from the casting. There is a 'O' ring inside to seal it--that may be stuck. If so, just work it up and down until free. You should replace that O ring. Its impossible to reach with the engine assembled and it leaks after the LIM job.
The O ring is an odd size--use air conditionar O ring replacements to find a fit. Get a sample pack from Napa or other parts store. |

Or just get the O ring from a dealer. It is part # 24504709 Seal . If they want more than $2 try another dealer. |

Thank you very much. It's under a buck at GM parts direct. Of course they want over $12 for shipping.

Re: LIM job on 2001 Venture WB
that shipping is the tough part and they won't slip it in a self adressed stamped envelope and mail it back to you.i didn't pull the short black pipe your talking about until i had the lower intake out. also i pulled lower intake with the fuel rails on it. now the longer black heater pipe has to be pulled out of the way.
