clutch issue?
I have a 96 ram 1500 and i am having troubles with the clutch engagement. When the truck is warm and i go to put it in gear it is hard to engage first. It seems really stiff to get into first. All other gears are perfect. No slipping or anything like that. Is this a clutch issue? is there any adjustments to buy some time before replacing the clutch? Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot!

Re: clutch issue?
If you have a hydraulic clutch check the fluid level in the clutch master.

Re: clutch issue?
What's the temperature in your area and did the problem occur when it was warm? Often the cold will make it difficult to shift when the vehicle isn't moving. When slowing, can you downshift into 1st easily? If both of these are true, it's likely just a temperature issue.
But the clutch could be worn, or as rhandwor said, low on fluid. How many miles on?
