Cloth Interior Dye

Sup All,

Ok so I cam home to find the cloth on my door panels a dingy brown color..they were tan.

Should I use that cloth dye RIT i think its called, they sell it at walmart. If so how would I go about doing it? probobly put it in a spray bottle. What color should I do it? my dash and junk is brownish and my cloth interior tan. any ideas?

I am sure nick will LMK..he he

thanks!

Yes I will reply, lol. Scew the stock cloth, buy some different cloth and glue it right over the old stuff just cut the shape a little bigger than the shape on the door panel. Like a 1/4 of an inch bigger and use a putty knife to tuck the edges in the seems in the door panel, good luck

No it won't come undone if you use 3M super adhesive, that shit works great but its kinda pricey, it won't come undone though. As for tweed, it looks ok but I wouldn't recommend doing your seats in it because they'll get little lint fuzz all over them and its a bitch to get off. I'd use vinyl, always been a fan of vinyl, its the easiest stuff to work with and you can't get the same colors as anything else. Well good luck

i got a question regarding this stuff. I just want to do my butt ugle seats, door panel carpet and center console carpet. I can just go get some regular cloth to put over everything but the seats right? Is vinyl hard to work with and is it cheap?

I'm really confused, what car do you have? It says you have a civic as far as I know no civic I've ever seen has had carpet on the door panels or the center console, but if its there I imagine you could pull the carpet off and glue, cloth or vinyl. Vinyl can be expensive depending on what kind you get, there are a ton of different vinyls. Alantae "think thats how's its spelled" is nice vinyl thats fairly inexpensive about 15-20 dollars a yard. Vissions is also another good vinyl, be careful the cheapest vinyls ARE NOT THE BEST!!! Some places will try to sell you boat vinyl or something and that stuff might look nice to you if you don't know what your doing but trust me its crap. Ask for Alantae of Vissions and you'll be really pleased with the quality . Well good luck

LOL, yeah I do, I work my ass off I just read the forum on my break. I paint F16's for living its not easy, its a lot of work, hows your car coming along? I'm pissed I put in my dash and everything works except my speedometer, I don't know if I didn't hook something up right or what, so I think I'm gonna have to pull my dash again and make sure everythings hooked up right, grrrrrr. Nothing on my car goes easily, lol

Sweet, yeah I'm thinking mabey I'm gonna paint my car a different color, I'm also doing a Lexus IS300 tail light conversion and also a headlight conversion. It should look pretty cool when I'm done, I hope to be done around August so I can go to this car show in Penn. Hopefully I'll do good there. Peace -Nick
