Re: Will not crank

Have you tried to jump across the solenoid? Possible the solenoid has laid down.

Re: Will not crank

The neutral safety switch is located on the side of the transmission. Count the flashes on the Air Bag light and that should give you a code. Check all your linkages and shift cable to be sure they are properly adjusted and all linkages are tight.

Thanks for your reply, I will count the airbag flashes and post them for your help. is the nss replacement difficult to do or should I contact a real mechanic?

Re: Will not crank

34 Driver Side Air Bag Low Resistance or Short in Circuit

There is the definition of the code 34. That might be something you may want to take to a qualified technician to be sure it works if it is needed. If you want to do it yourself, be real careful and follow any directions exactly. Good luck.

Re: Will not crank

Well It done it again. Been cranking good for several days. Today it wouldn't start in the parking lot, turn the key and nothing ,tried neutral still nothing as I kept wiggling the gear shift lever and turning the key it blew the fuse that controls the dash lights and speedo. This is frustating, Mechanic thinks possibly loose wire or short in the steering column. Any tips anyone. thanks
