PS pump removal for LIM

Is there a trick to pulling the power steering pump up and out of the way? I have the bolts out and can move it around but when I try to pull it up and out of the way, it's getting stuck (metal on metal).

It can be a dog. You have the clamps loose and the hoses lifted free from the engine right? That presumes the alternator and bracket and all those pulleys are gone now too. The lines are steel for a bit, then transition to rubber, but its a tight lift, and a close fit for both the lines to tuck in there by the pump.
There is a double plastic clip on the back of the engine where both lines snap in and out. Be sure the is free as well--you need that extra length.

Thanks Merc.
It sounds like I need to take a few more things out. I don't have the alternator out yet and by what I've read, that needs to go anyway. I'll write more if I still can't get it out.

Yea, once you take the alternator off, the bracket that supports it can go and that reveals the pathway for the powersteering lines. Remove the belt, the tensioner and all will be clear on that side. Tip, work through the wheel well at times, by removing the splash guards.

You will also need to remove the fuel rail before you can lift the PS pump up and out. No need to disconnect the fuel lines as many advise - just gentle lift the rail up and lay it over and back out of your way.

If you remove the pressure relief cap on the fuel rail you will have just enough room with out removing the fuel rail. It is tight but will come up by wiggling and prying gently under it.
