My new rollbar and lip arrived today...

So today I come home from school and see a strange metal thing on my lawn, at first I think it might be something my Dad bought then after seeing the arm part of it I knew it was my roll bar. They are real weird about these things and only ship them freight COD so I was really glad my Dad was actually around to pay for it. I was told shipping would be like almost $200 or something horrible like that but it was only $76, not great but much better than I thought. I had already planned to put on my new front lip since my old one got ripped off so I installed this bar after I did that. It was pretty easy. I already had no rear interior. Biggest hassle was like taking out the front seat and then just drilling the holes of course since you have to crawl all over the car...

I only drove my car up the street so far but the impression I got was the car feels very solid, like the bar bar really connects the front to the back well. Turn in seems much better. I like it. Cost me basically $300 shipped and seemed worth it. Plus if I ever actually roll over it will possibly save my life.

It is a bolt in. Took me maybe an hour and a half to put in. It was pretty easy. I will make a How-To on it later but at the moment I'm too tired to mess on the computer a lot.

I've had the seats for a while, like early December.

And the Rollbar goes from right in front of where the rear seat would be (where the floor sort of ends) and goes to the front of the fender well. It sort of hard to get pictures of the whole thing. I have pictures of where it bolts in I will post those up later if you are interested.

Looking good :ylsuper

You won't belive it but today I was at my mechanics place thatone that preapairs cars for rally and he drive one too and I ask him how much would he charge me for rally roll bar the one that is A-tested for rally, that roll bar is welded to the chasis and it's all over the cabine and then goes into engine bay...the price for something like that is 1500$ ufff that is expencive...but the thing is when you've got that in nothing can't happen to you and the car is stronger than ever!

Nice job done

I'd say so. They ride their cars off cliffs roll down 100 ft and get out unharmed. Not bad!

Hey FourthGenHatch, which area in Baltimore are you from? Do you ever catch any of the street racing in Walbash or down in Dundalk?

how low do you think the lowest drop you can go with a front lower tie bar on an EF? i wanna swap out my coilovers for springs and my front lower tie bar hasnt arrived yet, i am thinkin about neuspeed sport springs which is a 2" in front and 1.8" in the rear.....you think that is too low with a front lower tie bar?
