Leather seat re-dye

Gentlemen:

I needed to do something with my 97 pa leather seats. Since the heat element is sewn into the pads, replacing the seat covers was not an option. I prepped them by sanding them down (i have auto painting experience), cleaned them up, reconditioned the leather, then used a water based dye and sprayed them with my mini spray gun (next time i'll use an air brush) Three thin coats and the seats look like new. Now, if it holds up like they say it does...i got a new interior for very little money.

What did you do to fix the part closest to the door that looked like it needed a flexible bondo material or something. What is the brand of the water based dye you used? Did you topcoat it with a clear finish satin? Looks great!! I need to do the same for my 97 PA.

I used a product called leatherique, but next time i think i will use the SEM dyes. I didn't really use any filler, just sanded the area well and put a small amount of some thick primer i had laying around over the raw leather. Lots of "how to" videos on youtube.
