Sound from brakes. My car is moaning.
Hi all. I am new around here but I hope soon to be an active member.
I replaced my brake pads myself a few months ago. Since then I have noticed a moaning sound coming from my brakes. This is when I would hear this moaning sound: If I am at a dead stop and I accelerate I will hear the sound for less than half a second at around 10 mph. If I am making a high speed turn when applying the brakes I will hear the moaning sound. If I am rolling at 5 mph not applying brakes I will hear the moaning sound. If I tap the brakes the sound will go away. I am wondering if it could be the wheel bearings, but I don't know why this would make some of the sound I described. I brought the car to two mechanics and they said everything is fine. Still the sound persists and something is clearly not right. BTW my car is a 2001 Honda civic ex. I plan on taking a video of this so you can actually hear the sound for yourself. It is kinda a hard sound to actually put into words
