97 engine woes

97 camaro runs rough in any gears @ low rpm. higher rpm, it comes out of it. thought the jerking was bad clutch or 5 spd tranny goin bad, but think it might be the 3.8 Any similar experiences out there? Ran real smooth 5000 miles ago!

Re: 97 engine woes

That would be nice, but I forgot to tell ya that the parts store that tried to read the codes, said that the port to read codes had been disconnected(they said some car lots do that so u can't tell what's wrong with it till u buy it!) I can't figure out where it was disconnected! Have u ever heard of such a thing?

Re: 97 engine woes

that sounds pretty shady to me. you gotta figure out how to get it working again. we can't really troubleshoot anymore until you can get that code from the ecm.
