97 dakota starts, but kills itself

i have a 1997 dodge dakota. the truck was running just fine, so i took the battery off, to clean the terminals. like commonly done to maintain good connection. put everything back on, and now the truck will start, but not run. it had some stupid bull dog system on it, but i never used it cuz it doesn'thave the remote for the remote start. i'm wondering if this is a problem. or if there is a fuse that commonly blows when a battery is reconnected. no idea what's goin on here, pulled off almost all sensors and cleaned and replaced them. not havin any luck. it will run for about 2 seconds, no matter how many times i start it or no matter how i push the gas...
