4l60E first gear drag

Hello, I have a 1998 k1500 Z71 4X4 with the 4L60E trans and the problem i am having is that first gear has a drag. When in first gear it feels like you have your foot on the brakes and when it shifts into second it hits really hard from lite throttle to heavy throttle. I have jacked the truck up on jack stands and with the truck at idle in park the rpm's are about 900 and when in gear with foot on the brake rpm's about 600. Tires off the ground in first gear no brake rpm's 600 in manual second gear idle no brake rpm's 900 as soon as you put it in manual first gear the rpm's drop back to 600 with or without foot on brake, when in second if you apply the brake rpm's drop to 600. It feels like to me there is something dragging first gear but i am not sure if it could be electrical or a band or something. This problem started instantly, one day was fine and the next did not work. If anybody has some info, please help. Thanks. p.s. the check light is not on.
