2000 windstar tranny leak

I have a 2000 Windstar that seems to be leaking from the trans pan gasket. If it is the original reuseable on could it fail and need to be replaced?

It could be. The original OEM gasket is reusable but could go bad. If you haven't serviced the trans now is the time. The pan is pretty low so you could have bumped it on snow, ice... and caused a seal break. I'd drop the pan and clean the whole thing up, replace the filter and if the gasket is bad replace it. You could have lost a bolt too I suppose.

Just a note.. All my pan bolts were lose on my trans when I did my trans filter replaced a while back.. Was not leaking but this could be your issue.. Got a new trans now.
