Pulstar spark plugs

Anyone give them a try yet? I read in Import Tuner that you can gain horse power by using Pulstar plugs. Anyone else looking into them?

Re: Pulstar spark plugs

I haven't tried nor heard of them even, but I bet Import Tuner would tell you your dick is a good spark plug if someone paid them to. I'd stick with the tried and true NGK's myself.

Re: Pulstar spark plugs

There was a discussion on this on tuners a while back. Since these plugs have circuits in them, capacitors and what not that need to charge up inbetween sparks there may be a small delay in when the ECU tries to fire the plugs and when they actually get spark into the cylinders. To my knowledge no one has done test to see if their is any but this was the only concern.

I'm gonna have to agree with Dustin on this one. NGK's are superb for our cars. I've heard of these things before but don't ever hear of anybody using them. IMO, there are many other things to better spend the money on... Such as a nice MSD ignition.

+1
Kinda like that article in their "Power Pages" thing, or I think thats what its called. They took a stock 1g GSX and "Gained 100whp" just by adding an HKS fuel cut defender and a Holly fuel pump.....wow.

Re: Pulstar spark plugs

$100 for a set of fucking spark plugs?! Thats ass rape! They said its $8 per horsepower, which results in a claim of 12.5 hp gained just because of their plugs. I'm waving the BS flag on that. If you feel like its something you want to try then go for it, but I'm going to be chillin with my NGK's for a while.

Re: Pulstar spark plugs

I agree but it would be cool to find out. If I had money to burn I would be all over them.

Other people already boarded the moron bus. No need to follow them.

Tuners has a thread about these novelties; a BIG f'in thread. Every year or two, someone else tries to sell us snake oil.

Edit: Want 10 more HP? Add 1lb of boost an fuel appropriately. Done and FREE. NGK coppers are where it's at.
