Tamiya Ferrari F430?

Ok, the Tamiya Model Magazine International has a F430 on the cover. I do not have access to the magazine, and was wondering if it was an announcement for a Tamiya F430.

Re: Tamiya Ferrari F430?

Nah, it's rather the presentation of a double build (coupe and spider) of a Revell model.

Re: Tamiya Ferrari F430?

The cover of an English modeling magazine would not be where you would see a new kit announcement from Tamiya.

Tamiya Model Magazine International regularly covers Revell kits, due to Revell's distribution agreement with Tamiya.

They are Fujimi kits, I know this because I built them!

Re: Tamiya Ferrari F430?

Is there even any chance Tamiya will release the 430? It's been so long I doubt it but am curious.

Re: Tamiya Ferrari F430?

Why would they?? There are already two kits of it out by different manufacturers. No chance.

Re: Tamiya Ferrari F430?

I know there are already two out on the market, but I find it strange that Tamiya have such a wide range of Ferrari models not to include it and considering there are currently three versions of the R35, I didn't completely rule out the possibility of Tamiya having a go (back in 2005/6 anyways).

I'm pretty sure that Mr. Tamiya has a secret plan.

He has decided that there are just too many Ferrari kits on the market so he is saving up his pocket money to be able to afford to re-tool for a full line of Aston Martins! Everything from the DB1 through to the DBS9 (he can miss out on the 1970's Lagonda though and I'll forgive him )

But I won't forgive him - the Lagonda is far too cool to ignore Easy enough to scratchbuild though & I almost have enough reference info. Just trying to decide which other kit will donate the wheels

Re: Tamiya Ferrari F430?

Actually, I hear that Tamiya's next 1/24 kit will be a Nissan Altima.
