Question 99 Grand Prix GT key FOB programming

Can someone tell me how to program my 99 Grand Prix GT Key FOB? Is it the same as the 98 model year? When I bought the car at an auction it did not come with any key FOBs and the key is very narrow and does not have the plasitic on the end. Does this make a difference? Should it have a small chip on it? Thanks

I recommend that you check EBAY for key FOBs. New ones go for about $75.00. I just purchased two fey FOBs on Ebay for about $7.00 each including shipping and they work great. Just make sure that both the serial and FCC numbers match the one on your old remote.
