Good replacement struts?

My '91 is rather harsh driving over bumps. Seems the likely cause might be the struts. They were replaced with Monroe Sensa-Tracs 7 years and 60k miles ago. It seems like bumps really shock the car more than they should, and the ride just seems all-around too stiff (lots of bouncing if the road is not smooth). The struts do come to rest quickly when bouncing the car.

So, my question for those that have replaced their struts: what brand and how does it ride?

Re: Good replacement struts?

I installed the KYB GR2's on my 92, with a years worth of travelling on them they still seem to be doing well, they are a bit stiffer than the originals (but the originals were badly worn when I got the car). I would say the KYBs are perhaps a bit more towards the sports tuned suspension than the original but many notches above the trashed originals.
