1999 brake lights

1999 monte carlo ; brake lite problem, 3td brake lite works fine; however the 2 main brake lites dont. replaced fuses checked bulbs, still no go, open and shut hood the dang things come on then, drive a little bite and off they go, any body have an answer? also seeing as the 3td lite works on can i tied into it from my regular tail lights? this is my wifes car and i need to fix asap

unhook your "hillbilly fix" (lol) and have someone watch the brake lights while you depress the brake pedal and wiggle the turn signal and or hazard switches. these older GMs had a terrible time with turn signal switches. my 95 did the exact same thing, 99 is the same style. new switch, no more problems

Never did the hillbilly fix I was just wondering if it was possible
