Aveo Spoiler 2005

I have a 2005 5-DR Aveo and was wanting to know if anyone has on on their Aveo and if you could say where it bolts onto the car. It'd be great if anyone could post pictures. Thanks!

Re: Aveo Spoiler 2005

Welcome to AF. I've seen them and they are bolted to the roof over the hatchback door. If you put one on coat the screws with silicone before you put them in so you don't have any leaks into the interior when it rains.

Thats a good idea with the silicone. There are two small circles where it looks like it bolts to the hatchback door. At those 2 small circles it is only 1 ply instead of the surrounding 2ply sheet metal. So is it pretty easy to do by yourself? Have you seen any pictures?

Re: Aveo Spoiler 2005

It should be easy to do. I was going to put one on my 05 hatchback, but balked when I found that it would cost over a hundred dollars. Those 2 marks on the hatchback are probably, like you say, for the spoiler. I'll send you a private message with some more information. Dave
