Re: H e l p

Probably not many transmission experts here. I don't know enough to give any advice other than it sounds like an internal problem to me. I'd take it to a transmission shop (NOT ammco) and ask them what they think. If they can't explain to you what the problem is, whether or not you understand them, take it somewhere else for a second opinion. Run away quickly if they immediately tell you that you need a new transmission.

You could simply have a bad solenoid, bad valve body or it could be as bad as worn out clutches or a completely clogged hydraulic passage.

Re: H e l p

You posted a week ago about the same problem. In your response about the maintenance history you said you had just purchased the truck and that the fluid was pretty dark.

An Isuzu tranny with 198,000 miles and dark tranny fluid means only one thing.....rebuild. I personally don't think it's worth spending thousands on a rebuild for a 1995, but that's your call.

OIC. Dark fluid usually indicates very fine metal shavings.

Re: H e l p

Did you ever check the voltage output of the alternator WHILE truck is running with all accessories on...again, these trucks will act VERY strange if they're low on volts.
