FS: 1988 Chevy Pickup (Converted Stepside)

To start, I'll throw in some minor details.

I originally traded my Spyder for this truck (which also included a 4 wheeler as well). In my mind, I thought it was a good trade, and it was rightfully so. I got a good deal, so did the other guys. But as time went on, I never actually drove this truck. I've had it for over a year, and it still sits where it is now in the pictures I'll provide.

It started out as a black, somewhat rusty, v6 pickup. Wasn't used much by the original owners, but I did see pictures of it before the work was done. Let's just say it wasn't something I would have traded even my 16" TV for.

Well, the original owners decided to invest and sink some money into it. So, I'll just lay out what I know and what they showed me they paid for. For the record, the guys who did the work actually own their own shop, and do great body work and engine work as well. Great guys all around ( I still talk to them, too).

Alright, here's what they told me they did:

-Complete overhaul on the body. Cleared rust. New paint and even painted the under body completely black. (Body work is clean minus a minor chip in the tailgate thanks to some idiot playing around with tools near my truck).
-Added the roll bars and side steps (painted silver).
-Converted original short bed to the current sidestep you see.
-New grill and front/rear bumpers. Molded rear end to body for cleaner look (which I liked personally).
-3" Body Lift (a friend believes it's actually higher. He's owned numerous Chevy trucks with lift kits).
-Converted to 6-Lug hub for newer Chevy wheels to be applied.
-Dropped the old v6 and put in a new 350/tranny and added 4x4 (which needs to be hooked up). Very clean engine BTW. I could eat off it. They claimed not even a mie has been seen on this engine. I'd believe it to be honest. Truck is too clean.
-33" Scorpion Tires (somewhat worn down. Plan on replacing).
-Another set of BFGoodrich tires on stock 18" Chevy Rims.
-CD player (plain nothing special)
-Interior is very clean to me. No cuts or holes in interior seats. Dash is clean too.
-Y-pipe to dual exhaust coming out the back end.

That's pretty much everything that I can remember that they mentioned.

Now, onto the minor details/flaws with this truck. Since I have owned it and left it sitting for over a year, the truck is practically dead. My cousin actually has kept an eye on it for me, and tried to start it regularly for me. But, he and I both became preoccupied with life, and eventually the truck was too dead to start or boost. So, either it needs a new alternator or just another battery, but I'd like to replace both either way.

When the guys at the custom shop put the headlights in, they wired the brights and lows opposite.

4x4 needs to be hooked back up.

I needed to get new wipers, which aren't much at all.

Speedometer is a bit off, or sometimes sticks. I can probably scrounge up a used one in good condition if need be.

The total cost with this truck ended up resulting in $12,000 spent to get it where it is. I'm not asking for nearly that much at all. The truck is in great condition still. I went to pay it a visit last week and it's still the same as I had left it.

Basically, that's all I have to offer as far as details. I'll answer any questions the best I can. This truck needs a good home. Someone who can actually give it much better attention than I can. Thanks to any interests. If anyone knows a friend/family member looking for a decent work truck, or something they can build upon to make this truck better, point them here. Thanks for looking. Here's the pics.
