engine swap question
is it possible to swap a series 2 with a series 1 engine in a 97 bonneville? if so what would i have to change to use the series 1 engine block ?if not possible please explain thanks for any help you can give .

You would lose 35 hp and it would be a major wiring hassle.
Series II engines aren't expensive.

If you have an LKQ near you it may be cheaper to get an 05-08 L26 Series III 3800 and swap the parts from the L36 over to it..
This is what I am doing with my 1995 Pontiac Transport.. But I am going to the newer Series III engine using the series II parts... |
