Finally ordered a Monster Transmission...now i need a

I finally ordered the transmission of my dream...something that will put the 350 horses of the ram jet engine to the floor. I now need to buy the torque converter...I was wondering around what range should I consider upgrading to...someone says that based on my cam alone I should just get a 1800 to 2000 stall range and that should suffice. I have a 91 camaro with 16 inch wheels. The rear will soon be a 3.27 posi disc rear...I havent installed it so I still have the original v6 gearing one wheel wonder rear. Any ideas or experience in this department with torque converters?

ummm, hate to say it but you could actually go with a stock converter. 350 HP really isn't that much of an improvement over stock (100 hp). Depending on your cam choice, a 1200-1500 stall would work fine.
I'm running one of Lunati's Voodoo cams, 262/268 advertised duration with a 1500-1800 stall converter and that works great. Still snatches em loose at 40 mph.

Re: Finally ordered a Monster Transmission...now i need a

I decided to call Monster transmission myself and ask them. I figured they've been doing this for a long time and they have a prety good customer satisfaction rating so if anyone knows what I need it would be them...They recommend a 1800 to 2000 stall speed converter based entirely on the cam lift of the ram jet engine. I cant wait to get it and install them!!!
