Tamiya tire decals
I'm having problems with 1/20 Tamiya tire decals. They are the G@@dyear decals printed in reverse. I'm having troubles getting from the paper to the tires. Any ideas, thanks.

Re: Tamiya tire decals
Hello, it's fairly simple to do...just follow the procedure outlined in your instruction sheet.
- Remove the tracing paper cover. - Cut around the logo. - Carefully, remove the decal lining from the paper backing (use a sharp knife). - Damp the tyre lightly then place logo on top (letters should be the right way around). Make sure it's in the correct place...they can't be moved around too much. - Place a few drops of water on top (it should go translucent) then slide the lining off. - Soak up excess water with corner of tissue. - Once dry, it might be good to seal it on with a flat clear, but that's optional.

Re: Tamiya tire decals
Thank's for the reply kev, that's usually what I do. This must just be an old set or may have dried out. The letters are breaking up on me. I think I might try Solvaset on the tire first to see if it "grabs" the decal.

Re: Tamiya tire decals
Hope it works for you. If all else fails, you could make a stencil and spray the logo on instead
