Late 80's s10 starting problem
I have an 88 s10 that had trouble starting after it warmed up and it sounds like other have his problem too. I found out that the fuel pump is conected to the oil preasure sending unit and if the oil preasure is low wil not turn on. I replaced the oil sending unit that did not fix the problem and cost $80. I then ran a wire from an auxiliary fuse to the fuel pump and have not had a problem since. But be aware that chevy wired the pump to the oil unit for a fuel shut off safety switch if you are in an accident. Hope this helps someone.
