Stupid Gen. motors!!!

I got so pissed off today when I was reading through my favorite car mag. Car Craft. they had a little blurb on the final stage of the production GTO (the holden Manaro they are using to replace the firebird/Camaro) what pissed me off the most about the article was when they told the suggested price "a little north of $30,000" WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT. stupid assed GM gets rid of the Firebird/Camaro (because it wasn't selling well) No shit really.... the fucking car was 25-$30000 and was aimed toward the 18-25 year old crowd (how many 23 year olds do you know with $30k to plop down on a car...not many) So my big complaint is. GM stops production on a classic car in order to replace it with a RWD Grand prix look-a-like and has the awedasity to charge the same damn price as the model it is sent to replace. Why can't these guys get a fucking clue WE DON'T MAKE $60000 a year assholes!!! You can't make a "muscle car" thats aimed toward that age group and charge that much where the fuck are these peoples brains someone in the managment at GM needs a big foot in the ass. I'll be suprised as shit if these things make it more that 4-5 years before they are put on "hiatus" too. these guys need to wake the fuck up and realize that someone in thier early 20's looking for a sports car doesn't care if the car had 8 way power mirrors, a 6 disc cd changer, and memory heated leather power adjustable seats. they want a car with lots of guts good looks and a price they can afford working for $10 and hour and going to school. When will GM get a clue and start putting out RWD V8 powered cars for under $20000? I hope soon or I just might start looking at Ford in a new light.

how much is the new ssr?

Anyway, I'm sure they would gladly bring out competition to the mustang if they'd make money on it. The camaro (though I'd take one anyday) was getting owned by the mustang. Remember there's a lot of rich baby boomers right now that remember the days of the GTO, and they can afford a 30K+ pricetag of the new generation.

If you look hard enough in Ohio, you can ALMOST find hills, too.

Who's to say the GTO's target audience is so young, Firebird??? And Camaros and Firebirds never were necessarily targeted at that audience, either. Honestly... How many "kids" or "young adults" can afford the insurance on a machine like that??? You don't get your first real insurance break until you're 25, so why again would they tune a machine for performance for anyone younger than that???

I think the GTO is sexy as heck, sure maybe a lil reminiscent of the Gran Prix, but still quite a machine. My take is that this is for the baby boomers who have made their money and are now in a mid-life crisis and out to buy something to remind them of their youth.

I bet it doesn't include TT&L. And theres no way a convertible GT will be only $21,000.

My dad works there and has seen them go for under $20,000. After $2000 cash back and 0% APR for 60 months.

Sorry, convertible GT is more like $26,500. Sound alittle better.
