1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue A/C
One Passage side of the vent is blowing hot air when I turn the A/C on, but the drive side is really cold, I have a dual climate control system. I replace the control no luck. Any ideals. Thank you.

There is a blend door , in the duct work , that mixes hot and cold air to reach the desired temperature . This door is operated by a small electric motor . Yours is either out of calibration or not working at all . Go to search and enter this problem and there should be many entries about this problem . Good luck !

Re: 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue A/C
I've had the same issue. Remove the fuse for the HVAC in the fuse panel on the passenger side, wait a couple of seconds and replace. Do this with the car off, and you should hear the blend door actuator cycle through a complete rotation. this should fix the problem if the motor is not wasted. Oh, by the way, don't forget to disable the theft loc on the radio before you remove the fuse, otherwise you will have to go through the theft loc reset.
You can also remove the hvAC controller plug after removing it from the dash, if you are not sure of the theft loc code. Either way will re-cycloe the blend door actuator. Good luck! Mark |

turn the a/c off so that the a/c doors are shut then unplug the battery for a few seconds. The system will reset itself back to it's start position and the turn on your a/c, all should be fine. Worked for me a few times.
