1998 Z24 knocking. Lifters?

I have a 1998 Z24 that is knocking. last night we took the valve cover off and the cam and timing chain and all that good stuff you have to do with the overhead cams. Anyway it was knocking so we figured out that 4 of the lifters are kind of loose. They are loose enough to make double rings on the pistons. my question is: Is this what was causing my knock???? Please let me know.

Spun Bearing which that motor is known for doing. Poor oiling system in that motor.
