Another badly dressed Honda

Since its been a little slow, I was reminiscing and thought I'd jot this down for y'all.....

The wife and I had just finished dinner at our favorite eatery. I had a couple beers so the wife insisted she do the driving. She's the type of driver who likes to take spirited starts from the traffic lights and approach the speed limit quickly. I guess somebody els noticed her driving because behind us at the next stop light I hear an awful sounding exhaust. I drop down the visor and use the mirror to investigate what is making that terrible noise. I couldn’t really tell what it was at first since it sat so low to the ground. I could only see the top of a couple of heads in the little toy car. I sat up a little in my seat to get a better look. As we traveled to the next light this car pulls along side and I search for tell tail signs of a turbo or other power modifications. All I see is it looked similar to a Honda hatchback. The large muffler looked like it was just welded to the original piping, no wonder it sounded so bad. It was painted like a little bumble bee and the body kit hung like a bad suit.

We reach the next stoplight and ahead is the open hiway. The driver commences to rev his engine. The wife really pays him no mind as she reaches over and turns up the volume on the stereo.

Don’t you wanna go for a ride
Just keep your hands inside
And make the most out of life
Now don’t you take it for granted

Honda boy’s revs up his engine anticipating the light. The wife is just bouncing to the Rob Thomas beat and waits for the green.

And I’m steady but I’m starting to shake
And I don’t know how much more I can take

Light turns green and I hear a slight chirp as the wife launches, her quick reaction puts the Honda at our rear quarter panel

Hey, This is it now
Everybody get down

A quick shift to second jerks me further in my seat and I feel the slight g-force as the car accelerates.

This is all I can take
This is how a heart breaks
You take a hit now you feel it breakdown
Make you stay wide awake
This is how a heart breaks

She shifts to third and I look behind to see the Honda quite a few cars back, haha I’m sure his hearts breaking now. Glancing in the wife’s directions she continues to bebop in her seat dancing to the music.

Don’t you want to go for a ride
Down to the other side
Feels so good you could cry….

“Did you just race that guy?” I ask
“What guy?......” she laughs and shifts it to 4th

And I’m sorry but it’s not a mistake
And I’m running but your getting away…….

Re: Another badly dressed Honda

I think he was implying the race synchronized perfectly with the song.

to repair and get the thrill back than a pissed off girlfriend.
