Oil and Filter change

i just changed the oil and filter on a 2006 pontiac G6 GT with the 3.5 V6...how many quarts should i have put in? i put in 4 but 5 came out...lemme know if i should add another quart...im pretty sure the book said 4 but i could have misread it

Same car & engine I have and the owners manual says it takes FOUR QTS.
